Fiona Caulfield is a citizen of the world. Born in Australia, she has lived in the UK, Canada, and the USA before moving to India in 2004. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Fiona has been “parked” in her hometown of Adelaide, Australia. She is a storyteller that believes that falling in love with a place is just an exciting as falling in love with a person and she shares stories of India through her travel writing and now through a curated collection of Indian objects presented through Love India Home.

Fiona is regarded as one of India’s leading travel writers and travel designers. Through her Love India Travel brand she offers travel advice, creates bespoke journeys, and also offers a sourcing service for clients wanting to do business in India. The Love Travel Guides are deemed to be the standard bearers for India guides and are regarded as the ultimate source guides for shopping in India, be that in the bazaars, boutiques or direct from artisans and craftspeople. The FT reviewed the guides effusively and said “Caulfield's local knowledge is compelling, especially her encyclopaedic shopping savvy - always handy in India. I'll never shop in India again without her”.

It is this combined passion for travel and treasure hunting that Fiona has channelled into Love India Home. Here she presents an eclectic collection of textiles, homewares, crafts, vintage curiosities, and decorative pieces all personally sourced in India. Fiona has tapped into her deep knowledge and vast network of contacts gained from living in India for much of the last twenty years to find products that come from India’s finest artisans and craftspeople, most interesting stores and India’s best antique dealers. Every item on the Love India Home site has been thoughtfully curated and has a story to tell.

Fiona was a pioneer in terms of her commitment to Conscious Travel and likewise with Love India Home she is committed to Conscious Shopping, enabling her clients to make purchases that have a positive social, economic, and environmental impact. Five percent of all retail sales from Love India Home will be given directly to organisations supporting Indian artisans.
