A delightful Raja (king) doll hand-crafted in Jaipur using block printed fabric that is edged with gota ribbon. Traditionally gota ribbons were woven with a warp of flattened gold or silver wire and a weft of silk cotton thread. They were used to decorate garments and textiles for the royal court. Today gota is also mass-produced on power looms and is used on clothes for weddings and festivals.
